Option 1
A. Project Week only
The core reason to participate in the Meet The Kenyans program is
to have the chance to be part of this group of people with a heart
to contribute towards positive change in the lives of the less
fortunate. Therefore the most important week is the second week
which we have dubbed, 'The Project week'.
However, the importance of the first week cannot be over looked!
During this week, participants are to learn about the cultures and
ways of the peoples they come across when in the project and also of
the various Kenyan tribes.
The aims are to study and understand the various cultures and tribes
to enable break down on any aspect of culture shock; both for the
participants and the host families as they too (host families) will
be going through the same lessons.
To ensure that those that choose this option are not left out on
the firstweek, we have designed a Customised Email Based Package (CEBP).
This willensure that anyone wishing to opt for this first choice
still learns the same things as the one who opts for a choice that
includes the first safari week. The difference is off course that
they miss out on the safari week!
This option is
best for people that wish to come solely for the community
development week and the cultural part of the Meet The Kenyans
project.
B. Safari & Project weeks (Week 1 & 2)
Here the participation is in the first and second week (both in
Kenya). The participant will go on safari, during which the
teachings on the tribes and cultures will take place while enjoying
the beauty of Kenya's vast safari lands.
After the first week, he/she will be involved in the community
development part of the project.
This is best for people that want to experience the countries
safari nature while at the same time learn about the cultural
aspects of it's people and still participate in the community
development part.
OPTION 2
Project Week & Beach safari (Week 2 & 3)
Choosing this option allows one to participate in the project
week and then later go for the Beach safari at the Kenyan Coast.
This means that they do not come for the first week (Safari) but
participate in this week through the CEBP. It hence insures that the
participant will still have the necessary knowledge on the cultures
and tribes necessary for the community development week.
Ideal for persons who want to participate in the community
development phase and later relax on a beach holiday itinerary
